Team
The Cornell University Solar Decathlon team is organized into seven subteams and run entirely by students, with faculty members serving solely as advisors. This allows engineers and architects, business students, and landscape architects—the majority of whom are undergrads—to learn from each other and collaborate closely on this integrative project. Students have raised all the funds, designed the house, and led the construction.
Cornell University recognizes the academic importance of this project: students in engineering, architecture, and landscape architecture have earned academic credit for their work through independent studies, lectures, and design studios.
