electrical power
The electrical power subteam is responsible for harnessing the electromagnetic energy produced by the sun and converting it into a useful form, which is the keystone of the Solar Decathlon. This subteam designed and installed the system that powers all of the electrical workings of the house—from the television to the electric car.
- Doug Bishop, Materials Science & Engineering ’07, spent a semester working in Ghana, decided to quit crew and devote himself to activities that had more social value.
