Aquaculture

Aquaculture aims to provide educational and economic empowerment within coastal communities by creating an open-source aquaponics system that is both profitable and ecologically sustainable.

ARC

Alternative Recycling Cornell (ARC) involves completing work on a plastic shredder and creating a plastic mold-injector to reshape plastic waste into other simple materials.

Currents

Our Currents team is working on high-efficiency HVAC (heating, ventilation, and air conditioning) systems using various tracking technologies and machine learning that will be implemented in campus HVAC.

MarComm

Helps run all the media and communication throughout CUSD and maintains online presence as well as organizes organization-wide events such as socials and a retreat.

Soil Factory

Soil Factory is composed of individuals from a diverse range of backgrounds and expertise, including everything from agricultural science to data science. We look at soil quality, fertilizers, and sustainable regenerative resource practices.

Solar Panel Reboot

Solar Panel Reboot works to create a Solar Panel's Lifecycle. Exploring how working solar panels built in the '80s on a solar farm can be reused or recycled, providing an environmental focus to solar energy technology.

Sustainable City

The Sustainable City team is an interdisciplinary group of students focused on working with city officials to create a more connected society, industry, community, and economy in a less mechanized part of downtown Ithaca.

Sustainable Mobility

Our team is currently interdisciplinary with students from all different majors witin the colleges of Human Ecology, AAP, Engineering, and Arts and Sciences. Unlike other project teams, we also have a large cohort of graduate students and professional resources within the team which makes for an integrating collaborative environment.

Sustainable Smithsonian

We aim to improve the sustainability of the Smithsonian Institution's collection exhibits by creating data-driven recommendations for the Smithsonian to provide their guests with a clear and detailed picture of their ongoing environmental projects.
